Anyone here like the group YES???

While I love shit like NIN and Pink Floyd, YES does something for me that they can't.

Dunno what... and I know they're not as good as those guys, but they DO something for me... and that's ok, isn't it?

:)

Three lullabies in an ancient tongue
I like some of their stuff although I never was a huge fan. I especially like Owner of a Lonely Heart. And sure it's OK that they DO something for you!

I love their long tracks like Siberian Khatru, The Reaveling Science Of God, Starship Trooper and Roundabout especially when they're live. :)

One of my all time faves....saw them three times, way back when

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
Absofreakinlutly...I've seen them 3 times in concert, they were the first rock & roll band I listened to, and I think Steve Howe is about the best guitarest there is. I would say Close to the Edge, And You and I, Southside of the Sky, and The Gates of Delirium are about my favorites...oh yeah, Heart of the Sunrise. I am also a fan of the album "Drama"...for some reason, a lot of Yes fans I KNOW do not like that album.

Dude, stand up proudly & announce your likes & dislikes - nobody else lives in your skin but you & you're the only one you need to please with something like this. I long ago decided that I would never apologize for having an opinion on anything as subjective as art. My like are just that : MY LIKES. Nobody else should care what I find enjoyable, because nobody else has experienced my life through my eyes (and ears). Now, admitedly, I enjoy discussing my likes & dislikes and I often explain why I like something, but I'll be damned if I ever feel the need to JUSTIFY my particular obsessions. And trust me, dude, I like a LOT of things that are weirder, more obscure and more socially unacknowledged than YES.

Seen them live once, with Dream Theater as support act... What a night...

Also, they are the only band that REALLY did a great job mixing their music with a philarmonic orchestra...
