Wine and beer contain phenols that help protect against heart disease, there's plenty of good cholesterols in red wine, moderate drinkers have higher resistances to colds etc. There's plenty of research done on the subject, just google it. Don't you also think that people might want to drink alcohol because of the taste? Social drinking is fun too, it relieves tension. I've also spoken to a lot of people I normally wouldn't have while at bars and it can be really interesting to talk with a stranger. Do you only eat the healthiest food possible? |
