Death of Ali "Alireza" Fazeli Monfared is a case of honor killing of a gay person in Ahvaz, Iran that happened on 4 May 2021 by three male members of his extended family.[1][2]

Fazeli Monfared was twenty when he was killed while he was planning to move to Turkey and seek asylum. The killers are now arrested for murder.[2][3]

Iran’s anti-LGBT military law outing gays has been blamed for murder of Fazalie Monfared.[4][5]
