"His bad bowls have numbers which are better than whole careers of some bowlers"
THIS is the essence of Bumrah!
Bumrah doesn't play against weak opposition and rested many times. if you put that into perspective he is the GOAT
We indians definitely know and realise how special he is. Its an honor, privilege, a flex that Jasprit Bumrah plays for India
We might have another Kohli or Rohit in the future but we might never have another Bumrah
He is certainly leo messi of cricket isn't he guys
Leo has had a close contender. Bumrah has none.
Nah He is the the Cr7 of football
@@ootcurse are you sure? Have you watched bhuvi in 2016 - 2019?
@@rajeshkannan4154 Bhai. He said 'is' .
You can't keep bringing stats from history. And even then, Bhuvi would have been effective but not as great as this. Did you even listen to the whole podcast? That is the exact point of the podcast.
Why?! Even as a sport cricket is not at par with Football. Or are you sarcastic?
What an analysis. Even in this world cup final, Klaseen got out on 1st ball after bumrahs over. And jarrod got his wish of him bowling 16th ober
The one point they missed
Its Bumrah cricketing sense
Assessing the situation assessing batter and the pitch and condition . And how quickly he adjust his length and lines and speed.
Its sometimes feels like he knows what's batter gonna do.
And also I really want to know what are his weakness are
Maybe he needs to ball a bit more short balls cause its more effective than all his deliveries
They didn't miss this point at all lol
I hope this ages well and Bumrah has a long, relatively, injury free career ahead of him. It certainly is a pleasure to watch him bowl.
It doesn’t have to age. The guy already has 375 international wickets across conditions across teams with an average of 21. He’ll go down as an all time great with those numbers already.
Ambrose said that bumrah hits the pitch quite hard, can that be the reason for people not able to pull, because hitting the deck hard means more seam movement and more variance ,even on flat wickets if you can hit it hard enough
Malcolm Marshall was unplayable and the most fiersome, scary, dangerous bowler that I've ever seen. That was test cricket, but I have absolutely no doubt he'd have ruled T20. The terror in Brabourne stadium that the collective traumatized Indian crowd experienced that day I'll never forget. One of my most intense memories as a child.
I want to know which match you are talking about, maybe I'll watch the highlights later on 😂
Try playing bumrah without a helmet 😂
Yes True. But look at his support cast. No one was a slouch. In Bumrah hes on his own.
These old bowlers will get smashed in today's t20 batting friendly pitches
Marshall never played a game at the Brabourne stadium. All Mumbai tests were played in Wankhede stadium after 1975. And it was in Kanpur and Calcutta that Macko wrecked India in 1983 - revenge for the World Cup defeat.
Behram is absolute robot man- never gets tired .
I follow both jarrod & behram on twitter .
For an Indian in his 40s I have been fortunate enough to see 4-5 generations of Indian g8… while comparisons often are subjective given the times, subset of players the individual plays against etc etc… never ever have as an Indian one felt so confident and hopeful when a Indian pace or otherwise would be given the ball… it’s like you literally know that the man would deliver something exceptional…. Great batsmen would indeed win u matches like the many legends who have done so… but g8 bowlers would indeed win you tournaments … and I believe Bumrah will go down as the legendary bowler from India who would help deliver trophies in all three formats… truly a GOAT
36:00 wow ,that was such a good insight
that is why i watch this channel
Gelespie told a story about McGrath that McGrath used to say to Jason that,McGrath said,I can’t swing it,can’t seam it either but I can bowl 94 bowls out of 100 in one place so I’m going to get wickets,it’s the same with bumrah, nothing else matters if you don’t have accuracy,Stuart broad had most tools a bowler would want but didn’t have the accuracy of say an ambrose and that’s what seperates the greats from everyone else
Slightly controversial, but Josh Hazelwood is better across all 3 formats than Pat Cummins. Pat is the better test bowler for sure, but Hazelwood just doesn't go for any runs with the white ball.
I agree
Josh has improved his white ball game considerably in the last 2 years. He was struggling to find a place consistently in Aussie white ball team until then.
One of the things worth looking at is that bumrah can swing it both ways, that's an extremely difficult thing to do,even greats like McGrath ,garner Cummins pollock could not swing it that much, and some others like steyn, waqar, rabada ,Donald could do it but only one way,Trent boult can only swing it one way and is arguably the best new ball bowler in the world,so the fact that bumrah can swing it both ways and get banana swing is incredibly not just in terms utility but just demonstrating that he can do it ,makes it so difficult for batsmen
He can swing the ball but only little bit, he's not a big swinger of of the ball like other specialist swing bowlers
Of course but just the ability to do it itself,is a testament to his skills, many great bowlers cant even swing it one away, let alone two even though hes not a great swing bowler, just having that ability must make him so unpredictable@@apoorvsingh4459
@apoorvsingh4459
Precisely, because he swings a little and not too much, he gets through the small gap between bat and pad, besides the outside edges.
Cant wait for both analysis on BGT series this year 🔥.
Jasprit is the underrated top cricketer in the world. He is the best.
Underrated huh
@@KICK839 yeah. I mean no one ever said he is the best cricketer in the world.. before.......
Bumrah is the farthest thing from underrated.
@@sayantanmazumdar3 my comment did not age well!
we are really grateful to witness his presence in game live.
we can't judge him by highlights we have to see him live balling ❤
You will pick Bumhra for every continent, on every pitch for ALL 3 FORMATS, and choose the for all match situations. He will deliver. I don't know how many bowlers in cricket history can fall into this category.
So true I have the same opinion too
McGrath, Malcolm Marshall, Richard Hadlee
Cummins, Starc, Hazelwood, Rabada
Why not Rohit sharma as the next best?
I mean the guy literally sacrifices 1000s of his Runs and stats for his teams cause. Literally rearranged his game such late in his career. Injected such attacking mindset with the bat that no Indian team has seen before. Rohit sharma of 6 years ago would've got 100s and 200s for fun. Rohit sharma of today denies himself of that stats for his team. Such a great captain and team player
Majority of cricket that Bumrah has played in last 9 months except 2 tests in South Africa have been on dry pitches of India which makes his performances even more incredible.
Its so easy being behram Qazi. Watch Kimber's podcast, call him on the show for a convo and then let him talk.
Rohit is current 2nd best all format player
Great show 👏👏 Indeed he is most underrated bowler in the world. If he would have been from SENA countries then he would have been discussed more around the world!!!
T20 is a different game. In Test or 50-over-length bowling, you will get hit, reverse hit, etc. Past bowlers did have to learn skills regarding variety. You can only Burmah with future players. Bowl only swings for 1 over; McGarth's length will get hit. For current bowlers, there is no conventional or reverse swing, and batsmen who played were "Root" like now batsmen are very aggressive.
Exactly
Did I hear that Ponting is a better puller than Rohit ? Ha-ha-ha .. I have seen umpteen videos of Ponting getting hit head on the visor when playing the bouncing ball. If the visor were not there Ponting teeth would have been re-arranged multiple times. For Rohit I am yet to see a video of him getting hit. If you were to say Ponting has a better temperament and concentration than Rohit then I may agree but at playing short ball - Rohit is well ahead of Ponting . Sorry!!!
I think he was talking more about control over pull shots, ponting had great control over pull shots, even kohli has terrific control over pull shots
Rohit times it the best but he relies greatly on that, its tough for him to control where to pull, despite having a good timing
Oh wow what an amazing show!
Bumrah is already better than likes of Wasim Akram! Unbelievable!! Absolute goat 🐐
Pretty sure starc was nowhere near this dominating even at his peak
Starc was never this dominating in 15 wc.
He was great tho.
Well deserved player of tournament
His t20i number have always been par.
I feel bumrah need to bowl as much as possible in test cricket at ‘home’ -
Bumrah need to overcome workload management .
No he don’t we need bumrah for more important match
I thgt he'd be done post his back surgery, but he came back better with the same pace 😮
It's good India has him wrapped in cotton wool with huge rest breaks....
Hope he stays healthy.
Great analysis
Bumrah -God of bowling.
Simple as that
What’s wrong with Rohit’s pull compared to Richard’s or Ponting?
F****** Genius...Not you boom...You don't me validation...This goes to Jarrod & Behram
Yowie Foot Marks by JK. 🦍
Behram needs a little more appreciation
Please guys! Save it for the final! All these praises can cause Nazar (Evil Eye).
Bruh 😂😂😂
Would Marshall been a part of this conversation ? … not as tall as Garner … much shorter … a not very long run up and a different action … but very lethal due to the sheer pace he could generate …. My two cents
Best all-format cricketers - leaving 2024 out, why not Kohli?
When talking about all format cricketers why aren't they mentioning ABD? I think he deserves a mention at least and then Virat too(slightly because of pressure games in t20WC)
Virat has fallen of big time in tests after 2019 , nd abd had an very avg T20 international career where he didn't do much
Definitely not head. He has lots of gaps in his skills. Only think of Paty Cummins, to be honest, given his captaincy records, as well along with his new found t20 bowling. 2 best all format cricketer after Bumrah. Never seen so much talented cricketer as Bumrah ever.
lol cummins was not even in top 10 wicket taker in 50 over wc and in ipl he he had the record of conceding most runs in the season i.f ur talking about this t20 wc leaving eng and india which big team aus faced. In the knockout match against india he gave away 38 runs and not a single wicket . I can completely agree he is top tier bowler in test but in t20s and odis there are much better bowler than him . Josh hazelwood can be called as all format bowler as he was once even no 1 in t20 rankings and did well against india this wc .Cummins was not even in top 20 bowler in this t20 wc
@rohitgajwani Did you read what I wrote here? I am not talking about bowlers but cricketers. At times in the video, Jarrod mentions how, with only one skill, Bumrah is better than most cricketers( batsmen, bowlers & all-rounders). So there is no way to measure it, but logic why he said it. Pat Cummings now is not only a bowler but an okayish batsman and also a great successful captain. Odi WC wicket taking is some random Stat, which is not the discussion here.
on that ponting and viv thing,i think abd have a decent record agn bumrah,i might say very good record
I dont know where you got this stat from. Because bumrah had dismissed abd 3 times and avg 22 against him in international cricket. So it's Abd who struggles and not bumrah
@@arthdewangan08 I guess from ipl
@@arthdewangan08yh ab was his first ipl and test wicket.
@@Vaibhavgangwar2mm bruh it is well known that abd was against bumrah
abd didnt face bumrah at his peak that much most bashing he has done of bumrah came before he played for india
It's his Brain........
The second best all format International Cricketer, IMO, is Rohit Sharma.
If ab de Villiers played 2 more years, he would have been a clear winner over bumrah in white ball
Hiw wrists are a meance
Click Bait 😡🤬
People who watched Indian cricket who is better bowler bhuvi 2016-2019 or current bhumra? I feel bhuvi was complete bowler injury ruined him after 2020
I love bhuvi
And that was definitely his peak but this peak is just diff
Infact bumrah was better than bhuvi even back then ,so no comparison
Bhuvi was awesome. Bumrah is ridiculous
Even during bhuvi's prine Bumrah was better than him, bhuvi could taken wickets in his first 2 overs than start bowling defensive like wide Yorkers and all
There's no comparison, Bumrah is a level above even the prime version of Bhuvi.
Also Bhuvi was never a complete bowler, he lacked too many things that fast bowler can have to be a "complete" bowler.
Bhuvi never came close to dominating 3 formats of the game even in his prime yrs like Bumrah has done
😂
Only ABD dominated Bumrah when mattered 😂😂
Rohit pulls better than Pointing. The number of sixes he hits are mind boggling.
I think he was talking more about control over pull shots, ponting had great control over pull shots, even kohli has terrific control over pull shots
Rohit times it the best but he relies greatly on that, its tough for him to control where to pull, despite having a good timing
A national Indian treasure! Big respect 🙏🇮🇳
